However much it tried,

our patience was tested, felt shriveled and dried.

We made choices, some say decide.

To stay the course, to take the ride.

With family at Christmas, all is just fine!

A rhyme saps time,

can confuse the mind.

I haven't been drinking,

not sipping any wine.

The year that has gone.

The bottles we all got through.

Staying merry now

and all through 2022!

Another year has passed.
Successful navigation of the maze.
You're still quite the dreamer,
that adventurous look in your gaze.
Lucky, unlike your brothers,
you're still keeping away the greys.
The life of the party,
a shining light, those bright sun rays.
Maybe even like a Mars bar,
work, rest and mostly plays.
Something though, is on our mind.
A simple message, a simple phrase.
Hope it was something special,
A 'Happy Birthday', one of those exceptional days!
