Everything was travelling fine
and then there was a massive crime
We wrote a card without a rhyme
Better take bail at Christmas time

From our cell and trapped away
you'll hear the echoes and hear us say
I hope you'll let us get away
to see you both on Christmas day

Sometimes it's hard
to write a good card
But not today
i've got much to say

We've had a good year
Times that were happy
and times with a tear

I've shared them all with you
I'd have it no other way
Which leads me to the next part
what i'de really like to say

I love you at christmas
and all through the year
I wish you all happiness
my wife oh so dear
