Valentines day is not my cup of tea but it does make me think about my wife, my love and what you mean to me.

Our lives are so busy and time it is just flying. Spending much time on housework and doing the ironing.

Let's pause for a minute, or even a sec and think of the fun, the good times and how we first met.

Soaring and cycling, truly living, living healthy.

Then comes the unexpected, a clipped wing, a blown tyre.

Not a wake up call, not a warning. Just another opportunity to look it in the face and laugh like a galah.

Get back on the bike, unruffle your feathers and soar like an eagle once again.

Humble beginnings, it emerged one day

From a sleepy cocoon, on a day like today

Now it floats through air and beats it's wings

Enjoying it's life and the swirls that it brings

The woman you were, the woman you became

Same humble beginnings, i'm sure you would say

Now enjoying your life, in new and fresh ways

On the 8th day of September,

a baby will be born.
His name, it will be Patrick,
our lives he will adorn.

Not without its struggles,

some bumps along the way.
Time, it will be juggled,
prolonged will be the stay.

Much care will be received,

from midwives one and all.
Address his every need,
his future will stand tall.

Their hearts they are so selfless,

so giving of their time.

In moments when he's helpless,

the midwife bell will chime.

So many reasons to thank them,

the greatest of them all,
is for raising little Patrick,
to health and so much more.
